How to choose motherboard for your Personal Computer?

| June 25, 2011

If you want to buy new motherboard or want to upgrade it, you will need some guidance about how to choose motherboard that rights for me. First, what is motherboard? Motherboard is sometimes called as main board is the main circuit board microcomputer. The motherboard contains the connectors for installing additional boards. Typically, the motherboard contains the CPU, BIOS, memory, mass storage interfaces, serial and parallel ports, expansion slots, and all the controllers required to control standard peripheral devices, such as the display screen, keyboard, and disk drives.

Selecting Chipset | How to Choose Motherboard

Collectively, all the chips on the motherboard are known as the motherboard chipset.
On most PCs, it is possible to add memory chips directly to the motherboard. You can also upgrade to a faster PC by replacing the CPU chip. To add additional core features, you may need to replace the whole motherboard. (webopedia.com)

Latest chipset embedded on the motherboard is currently equipped with various technologies in all respects, as an additional facility on the setting and update the BIOS, support multi-processor, dual-channel memory, 64-Bit support, support the latest processors, over clocking and etc. This is no doubt biased, given that its technology is a refinement of the previous chipset series.

But the problem is today we sometimes even bother with the features and technologies, especially large selection of new products. Series and the brand new motherboard or newer motherboard chipset are sometimes still has many bugs, this is of course even when it would cost us to upgrade the main board or assembling a new computer.

Here is my tips in how to choose motherboard when you want to upgrade your motherboard or want to buy a new motherboard.

Do not be too hasty to buy a motherboard that has just been launched, because usually there are still many bugs. If you still choose the latest motherboard series, then look for products that use the latest motherboard chipset a lower level but still has particularly features and latest technologies.
Or you can stay choose latest chipset, but have had the latest revision series as well, it usually has undergone various improvements of existing bugs. For that you need to read of the specifications contained in its official website first.

I hope this tips about how to choose motherboard will help you.
