Catfish is a type of omnivore fish that do not discriminate the type of food whether animal or plant, just anything that can be eaten by the catfish, they will eat. Lobworms are an excellent bait to be used on most waters but are best used during the hours darkness as they will not last five minutes in daylight with all the small fish.
When I was a kid we went fishing everyday at Polion pond on Staten Island. We used pop and fresh doe. caught fish every single day and took the fish back and stocked a little pond by our house.
Believe it or not my grandpa used to use corn. Straight out of the can. Throw a few kernels on the hook and away you go.
